What makes Peterson's Patch different?

At Peterson's Patch, flowers are only part of the experience. I believe your wedding flowers should do more than decorate a space—they should tell your story and evoke emotion long after the day has passed. Many of the blooms I design with are grown on our flower farm in Sterling, Connecticut, then thoughtfully paired with seasonal flowers from trusted local growers and premium suppliers. Every stem is chosen with intention to create florals that feel natural, romantic, and uniquely yours.

Do you grow all of the flowers you use?

Not every flower—and that's by design.

I grow many specialty blooms right here on the farm, including dahlias, lisianthus, ranunculus, and other seasonal favorites. To bring your vision to life, I also source from trusted local flower farms and premium wholesalers when needed. This allows me to create the color palette and overall feeling you're dreaming of while celebrating the very best each season has to offer.

What flowers are available throughout the year?

Our farm-grown flowers are available from late April through early October, with the greatest abundance during spring, summer, and early fall. For weddings outside our growing season, I carefully source premium blooms that complement my design style so every wedding feels just as lush, romantic, and beautiful.  During our consultation, we will discuss what flowers are available at the time of your event.

How far in advance should I book?

Most couples reserve their wedding flowers 6–12 months before their wedding date. Booking early gives us the opportunity to thoughtfully plan your floral designs and, whenever possible, grow flowers specifically with your wedding in mind.

That said, don't hesitate to reach out if your wedding is sooner. If I have availability, I'd love to create something beautiful for you.

Do you have a minimum investment?

Every wedding is unique, so every proposal is thoughtfully tailored to your vision.

Full-service wedding floral design begins at $5,000, depending on your floral needs, venue location, and installation requirements.

Planning a smaller celebration? Our Ala Carte Wedding Flower Collection is perfect for intimate weddings and elopements, allowing you to choose the personal flowers and floral pieces you need with convenient pickup or local delivery for nearby celebrations.

What does the booking process look like?

Complete the inquiry form and tell me a little about your wedding. If you've opted into text messaging, I'll reach out to schedule a time to chat. Prefer email? You'll hear from me within 24–48 hours.

2. Share Your Vision
We'll talk about your wedding, your style, and how you want your day to feel. Consultations are available by phone and Google meet.

3. Your Personalized Proposal
You'll receive a custom floral proposal designed specifically for your wedding. Full-service weddings also receive a curated inspiration board. A 30% retainer secures your date.

4. Thoughtful Planning
Together we'll refine the details, discuss seasonal flowers, and finalize your floral designs.

5. Enjoy Your Wedding Day
I'll take care of the flowers—from delivery to installation—so you can relax, be fully present, and enjoy every beautiful moment.

Can I request specific flowers?

Absolutely.

If there's a flower you've always dreamed of including, I'd love to know. While I can't promise specific varieties due to seasonality and availability, I do promise to capture the overall feeling, color palette, and style you're envisioning.

If a favorite flower isn't available, I'll thoughtfully recommend beautiful alternatives that maintain the look and emotion of your floral design.

What floral style do you specialize in?

My designs are romantic, garden-inspired, and filled with natural movement.

I love creating florals that feel abundant, effortless, and deeply connected to the season—using many flowers grown on our farm alongside thoughtfully sourced blooms to create timeless designs that evoke emotion.

Do you create large floral installations?

Yes! From statement ceremony arches and floral meadows to lush reception installations, I love creating immersive floral experiences that transform a space and tell your story.

Do you offer delivery and setup?

Yes.

For full-service weddings, I'll personally deliver, install, and style every floral detail so everything looks exactly as envisioned.

Our Wedding Flower Collection is designed for pickup, with local delivery available for select celebrations near the farm.

Do you repurpose ceremony flowers?

Yes! If possible, I love repurposing ceremony flowers for your reception so you can enjoy your blooms throughout your celebration if it is a feasible reuse of the flowers. If you're interested in donating your flowers after your wedding, I'm happy to discuss those options as well.

What happens if my favorite flower isn't in season?

One of my favorite parts of floral design is finding beautiful seasonal alternatives.

Rather than focusing on one exact flower, I design around the feeling you want your flowers to create. This allows us to embrace what's naturally at its best while creating a floral story that feels cohesive, beautiful, and uniquely yours.

Can I visit the flower farm?

At this time, the flower farm isn't open to the public. I'd love to connect with you through a consultation instead, where we can talk about your wedding and how we can bring your floral vision to life.
